The Santiago JV Baseball team defeated Roosevelt 8-1 on Tuesday after taking the lead late in the game. With one out in the top of the fifth, Nathan Castillo singled driving in two runs. The Sharks secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was thanks to a single , a double by Ryan Zembruzki, a single by George Sonora, a double by Brendon Pricer, and a single by Travis Crumpton.
Santiago evened things up at one in the top of the fourth inning. Sonora singled on a 0-2 count in the fourth inning, scoring one run. Pitcher Mike Cloke earned the win for Sharks JV Baseball. He went six innings, giving up one run, three hits, and striking out four. Pricer recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Santiago.
